Vice President Research and Policy Analytics
at our growing nonprofit health care trade association. As a member of the Legal and Policy team, you will lead research and analytics in support of policy development, advocacy, member education, and communications.Primary Responsibilities:Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and draft reports, talking points, and policy positions relating to 340B including analysis of public datasets, member data, data derived pursuant to Freedom of Information Act requests, interviews and case studies to demonstrate the value of the 340B program, assess the impact of policy change, defend the program against external threats, and educate members and the public, among other purposesLead 340B membership surveys (3-7 per year), including drafting survey tools, obtaining feedback from staff and members, fielding survey, analyzing results, and drafting reportsManage work conducted by outside researchers, including analysis of results, development of written reports and preparation of charts and graphsPresent and assist with planning and identifying speakers and content for conferences, webinars, and other educational eventsOversee research budgetOversee 1-2 staff dedicated to research department as well as outside vendorsEducation and Experience:Master’s degree or higher in public health, healthcare administration, public policy, economics required15 years’ experience conducting public health, health services or public policy researchSkills and Abilities:Mathematical, statistical, and reasoning abilityExperience with health policy, knowledge of hospital and pharmaceutical markets are a plusHighly skilled in data analytics including advanced knowledge of Excel; proficiency in SAS is a plusDemonstrated writing skills and attention to detailCommitment to meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work productProven organizational and communications skillsCollaborates well in a team environmentAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasksExperience using Microsoft Office suiteOther Pertinent Information:Staff are currently required to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week, Monday – Wednesday, and other days as neededThe description above is not intended to enumerate all duties and/or responsibilities of the positionSome travel required, including to twice-yearly conferencesAbout the Organization:340B Health assists safety-net hospitals to provide services to more patients with low incomes and those living in rural areas.
