In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated with that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.PSG (Programmable Solutions Group) San Jose is looking for a Global Security Systems Manager who will help design, implement, and provide technical support to Altera on the various security systems necessary to support business needs and growth. Security systems include access systems, CCTV, and security applications.Primary Responsibilities:
As a Global Senior Manager Corporate Security/Assistant FSO, your primary responsibilities include:Process Development/Improvement
Work with internal and external teams to develop global processes and standards to meet business needs and support continuous improvement.Act as a subject matter expert in cross-functional teams to provide recommendations on new initiatives or projects. Assess benefits to be derived from systems improvements and quantify impact.Gather and document evolving business requirements and technological advances from internal personnel and industry best practices.Budget Planning/Management
Manage project budgets and annual budget planning with the team.Budget tracking and cost reporting for security systems and project budgets.Asset management and depreciation tracking to ensure budget accountability for Systems Project Management costs.Global Systems Management
Maintain the integrity and functionality of the physical security systems.Monitor system performance, analyze problems, and recommend solutions.Maintain systems configurations, documentation, and procedures as well as design, research, and create standardized reports to support requirements.Act as the primary escalation contact for all suppliers, integrators, and end-users for access control, video, radio over internet protocol, and alarm point service and maintenance issues.Troubleshoot, identify, and track software and hardware issues to resolution and keep systems operational.Develop recommendations and coordinate issue resolution with security systems integrators.Work with security management, contractors, and physical security consultants on projects to coordinate system enhancements at existing sites and systems deployment for new project builds.Track project progress and provide updates to impacted parties.Collaborate with the global security operations manager to develop appropriate training materials to support the needs of the security operations and consulting teams.Application Administration
Configure, implement, maintain, and support various security systems (Access Control, Key Management, CCTV, Visitor Management, Mass Notification, Intrusion Systems, Report Writing).Badging / Audits
Oversee the badging program to include standards, consumables, administration, and vendors' badging process.Provide oversight during annual reviews of privacy audits for all internal security systems, involving GDPR and other local guidelines.Support internal and external audit processes.Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other related field with 6+ years of experience OR 10 years of combined experience in security management, security systems design, and management.Related years of experience should include one or more of the following: corporate security, law enforcement, relevant military, corporate security and safety, physical security, security systems, technologies, and best practices.Ability to travel approximately 10%.This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:
University degree in Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Professional security certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are highly desirable.Experience, training, or certification within the design, operation, and management of physical access control systems.
