ABOUT USNext Stage Design + Build is a dynamic team of remodeling professionals, dedicated to bringing a full-service experience to upscale homeowners in Silicon Valley. We're looking for a project designer with a passion for construction to join our top-notch design team. We're in search of an experienced designer ready to jump in on small to mid-size remodeling projects with varying levels of complexity. Solid space planning skills are essential. Keen eye for developing color and materials palettes and presenting with confidence. A background in design-build or residential remodeling is a plus. Full-time hybrid position in North San Jose.
Key Responsibilities
Design small to mid-size kitchen, bath, and whole house remodelsProduce detailed construction drawings, including electrical plans, elevations, floorplans and permit setsLead clients through the design process from concept to completionSpecify all design materials for projectsCollaborate with a design/build team in planning and executing projects
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree in design or interior architectureMinimum 3 years in interior design, preferably in residential remodelingProficient drafting skills, preferably in Chief ArchitectBasic knowledge of residential building codeSolid space planning skills, specific to the remodeled spaceUnderstanding of Universal DesignHighly organized and detail focusedSkilled at project planning and time managementExceptional communicator and listenerExperienced creating materials palettes and sourcing materials
COMPENSATIONCompetitive salary with benefits including paid vacation time, medical and dental coverage and an opportunity to grow within an Employee-Owned company. Expected range, commensurate with experience: $67K-$75k annually, plus benefits.
