Senior Product Manager (Subscriptions)

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Product Manager to drive strategy and execution for monetizing CLEAR’s subscription product. In this role, you will be responsible for growing subscriber lifetime value (LTV) by ideating and shipping features that improve product upsell, increase subscriber winback, and mitigate churn. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging data and customer insights to identify opportunities to optimize the self-service account management experience. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of subscription business models and monetization strategies, with a passion for improving the member experience.

What you'll do:

Product Strategy:

Define CLEAR’s monetization product strategy and roadmap, focusing on improving member loyalty and reducing churn.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Member Care, Security, and Legal to drive a shared vision and accelerate product development.

User Insights:

Conduct user research and gather feedback to identify pain points and opportunities to improve the self-service account management experience.

Experimentation:

Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to optimize the user journey and validate monetization hypotheses.

Analytics:

Define and measure key monetization metrics such as churn rate, lifetime value (LTV), and average revenue per user (ARPU) to evaluate the effectiveness of retention efforts.

Market Research:

Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform product development.

What you're great at:

Experience:

5+ years of product management experience with a focus on subscription models, billing systems, and/or membership retention.

Analytical Skills:

Strong data analysis skills with experience using analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Looker, Heap) to assess performance and inform decision-making.

Member-Centric Mindset:

Deep understanding of member pain points with an ability to craft compelling value propositions to improve retention, winback, and upsell by addressing core member needs.

Billing Systems Expertise:

Familiarity with subscription billing platforms (e.g., Stripe, Recurly, Zuora) and knowledge of payment processing workflows.

Problem Solver:

Strong critical thinking skills with a proven track record of identifying and addressing root causes of churn or billing friction.

Excellent Communication:

Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Agile Mindset:

Thrives working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities.

Technical Knowledge:

Foundational understanding of APIs, payment gateway integrations, and subscription management software.

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units.
