provides justice-related support through excellent problem solving and analytical skills along with excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills. They must be detail-oriented and think logically. They have
7+ years of experience
serving as a data scientist or data analyst on complex technology implementation or data analytics projects. They have a working knowledge of federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration.
Arc Aspicio is currently operating in a
hybrid work environment
where work will be performed at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and remotely. All candidates must live in the Washington, DC area at time of employment.Responsibilities:
Assists in the development and implementation of data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.Prepares data, implements data models, and develops data management tools including databases to support end-to-end solutions.Conducts and facilitates analyses, issues identification, risk assessment, and decision-making processes.Communicates research and analytical findings, verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences.Collaborates closely with our clients to solve tough problems, delivering outstanding client service and achieving mission results.Applies excellent research, analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clients.Contributes to our company culture, which promotes client-focused teamwork, learning, and helping others to grow and develop.Required Qualifications:
7 years of relevant job experience
and knowledge of collecting, developing, and interpreting key data points to support operational decision-making in the public sector.Technical expertise with data models, data mining, data cleansing, and segmentation techniques and ability to design, develop, and implement best available models and solutions to address challenges and requirements.Experience developing databases with Structure Query Language (SQL) to develop complex queries involving joins, subqueries, aggregation, indices, common table expressions, and query optimization/plans.Strong expertise in applying pattern-recognition techniques to large structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sets to automate and optimize data wrangling from disparate sources.Experience in data manipulation and/or statistics, using one or more of these languages or applications: Python, R, SAS, Tableau, AWS.Proficient experience in both small and big data environments with an understanding of the tradeoffs in scaling algorithms between differing environments.Direct experience with client and stakeholder engagement and delivering work products for clients in a complex stakeholder environment.Proven to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills and strong leadership potential.Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-person.Desire to join a consulting firm and learn business concepts; loves to collaborate and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projects.Clearance:
US Citizenship only (no dual citizenship) / ability to obtain a security clearance.Education:
Bachelor’s degree in social science research or related area.Critical Skills:
