Old National Bank is looking to fill the role of Cloud Engineer III (AVD). As the Cloud Engineer, specializing in Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that enhance end-user experiences, security, and productivity. Your expertise in managing endpoints, configuring Intune policies, and optimizing virtual desktop environments will contribute to the organization’s success. The main responsibilities of this role are:

Key Accountabilities

Provide end-to-end support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including diagnosing and resolving complex and critical issues, liaising and collaborating with senior engineers or Microsoft product teams, documenting and updating customer cases and solutions, providing feedback and suggestions to improve AVD service quality and customer satisfaction, and participating in service improvement initiatives and projects.Manage and optimize the AVD session hosts, including assigning them to new users, scaling them up or down based on the demand and utilization, providing on-call support for critical incidents, and monitoring and troubleshooting issues.Design and implement endpoint management and security strategies using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), including configuring policies for device compliance, conditional access, and security baselines, and monitoring and troubleshooting endpoint issues.Architect, deploy, and manage AVD environments for remote desktop access, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AVD with other Azure services and developing and maintaining infrastructure scripts using tools like Terraform or ARM templates to automate deployment and scaling of virtual desktops and associated resources.Implement user experience enhancement within AVD, including profile management, application delivery, and user personalization, and ensuring seamless access to virtual desktops across devices and locations.Enforce security and compliance policies for AVD, including encryption, access controls, and data protection, and monitor AVD environments for vulnerabilities and apply necessary patches.Work closely with IT support teams to address user issues related to endpoints and AVD, and document configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting steps.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in azure virtual desktop or similar cloud-based virtual desktop solutionsAdvanced knowledge of azure virtual desktop architecture, administration, configuration and troubleshootingExperience in azure virtual desktop migration, backup, and disaster recoveryExperience in Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) policies and configuration profilesExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsCertification in azure virtual desktop or related azure technologies is a plus

Successfully designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications and infrastructure using best practices and industry standards.Effectively monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance, availability, and security of cloud systems and services.Implementing and managing cloud automation, orchestration, and integration tools and frameworks.Collaborating with other engineers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.Keeping up-to-date with new cloud technologies and trends, and incorporating them into their work.Providing excellent technical support and guidance to clients and end-users.
