Our hotel bar and restaurant seek a skilled Food & Beverage Manager with culinary experience (this position will require you to cook in the kitchen when needed) who can create innovative menus as well as ensure that health and safety requirements are followed. Our ideal candidate is a creative leader capable of hiring and developing exceptional talent, maintaining and ordering product, controlling inventory and adhering to a budget. Responsibilities: • Incorporate different ingredients in a creative way to produce fresh and innovative menu items and specials • Coordinate all kitchen food preparation, including processes, portioning, garnishing, and ensure that all meals and dishes are presented elegantly • Control department costs that are under your management, such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment, and work with vendors to get the best products at a cost-effective price • Be responsible for the overall success of the daily culinary operations, with an emphasis on surpassing guest expectations while driving revenue and profit • Recruit, train, and lead all kitchen personnel while instilling a sense of teamwork through positive feedback, mentoring, and support • Any additional duties related to the bar and restaurant such a drink specials, inventory, training and adherence to Marriott Brand Standards Qualifications: • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification • Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers • Strong leadership skills with experience leading, motivating, and developing a team • Must have 3-4 years of culinary experience for this role in addition to food & beverage management experience Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 yearly
