Systems Software Developer

Digiflight, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer to support the systems development under a DevSecOps Program using the SAFe Agile framework. Developers with experience in common programming and scripting languages such as Java, Perl, Ruby, Python. Developers capable of fulfilling multiple roles on a cross-functional team solutions architects and administrators with experience in cloud native technologies and using automated processes in serverless technology. She/he will provide technical expertise and support in the design, development, implementation and testing of customer tools and applications. Based in DevOps framework, participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. Primary Responsibilities a) Conceive, specify, design, program, document, testing, bug fix and patching software applications as a part of a team b) Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. c) Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. d) Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. e) Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements f) Participates in development of software user manuals g) May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team h) Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon i) Develop and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies j) Develop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services k) Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases l) Analyze (though proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs m) Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices n) Use industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting o) Document and Perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leverage GitFlow construct Basic Qualifications a) Has SAFe 5.1 SAFe DevOps Practitioner (SDP) certification b) Experience with the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices c) Experience software testing performance tools, such as Junit d) Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash e) Experience with Agile development environment and tempo f) Experience with automated processes in serverless technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Puppet, and Progress Chef. g) Experience with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) h) Experience with development leveraging cloud data services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS) i) Effective communication skills (written and verbal) Candidate must be a US citizen Candidate must have a MA/MS degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience. This may be substituted with a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 6 years of total experience.
