A leading Chicago-based law firm is seeking an Events & Program Specialist to join its Marketing team. This role will support firmwide internal and external events, working closely with attorneys and various departments to streamline planning and build relationships with internal and external partners. Ideal candidates are motivated, independent, and proactive, with strong relationship-building skills. They offer a collaborative environment, competitive salary, and excellent benefits
- Organize logistics, materials, attendance, and certification for internal trainings
- Assist in CLE credit processing for attorneys and clients
- Collaborate with Business Development & Attorney Development on a comprehensive training/event calendar
- Identify potential speakers and recommend training programs
- Support planning of firmwide events, including DEI, Pro Bono, and BFKN Foundation initiatives
- Coordinate client events with Business Development, including vendor contract management
- Support attorney retreats and practice group meetings
- Lead planning for firm seasonal events (e.g., holiday parties) and DEI initiatives
- Oversee event logistics from planning to post-event wrap-up, including budgeting and expense management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years of event experience in law or professional services preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom; experience with CLE tracking and event software a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with excellent communication and multitasking abilities
