Our team is responsible for driving the team’s forecast, annual plan, consolidation, and quarter-end close activities in parallel to providing critical analysis to support the company’s product roadmap and technology development decisions. Engineering Finance prepares, tracks, and evaluates performance metrics, provides business and financial analysis in addition to forecasting, reporting, and providing best-in-class business support to the Apple Engineering organization.
Description
Coordinate FP&A activities and deliverables related to monthly forecasts, quarterly Long Range Forecasts, Annual Plans and Quarter-End Close. This will include preparation of timely and accurate content for Executive reviews in order to provide key business drivers and insights on Engineering spend. - Support profitability and line of business views of engineering investment. Create insightful views of spend to drive business decisions and help connect cost of development to products, technologies and/or features. - Provide ad hoc financial support and broad collaboration with multiple teams across Apple, including; Corporate FP&A, Tax, Legal, M&A, Accounting, and global subsidiaries. - Consolidate Headcount, OpEx and CapEx spend by engineering org, including variance analysis, management reporting and building/maintaining financial models for forecasting purposes. - Understand key drivers affecting the above processes and anticipate their effects on our processes, deliverables, and results as drivers change.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of finance or other relevant work experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent required

Strong finance and accounting background showing aptitude for understanding complex financial structures and translating into meaningful business drivers.
Established financial experience performing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis along with a track record of strong financial modeling.
Outstanding attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting.
Ability to work with high level of ambiguity and complexity
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record with collaborating across diverse teams
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for clearly presenting findings to key partners
Demonstrated ability to automate and improve processes
Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities; experience in Tableau, SAP, or FileMaker a plus

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,300 and $161,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
