iSphere.net, a leading IT consulting company, is seeking a Data Engineer for a direct hire, full-time opportunity to join our client's growing team in NYC. You will work on designing, developing and optimizing the data infrastructure and pipelines that power our client's business analytics and operations.Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
- Migrate on-prem data and processes to optimal cloud-based solutions
- Ensure high performance, scalability and reliability of data systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Testing, monitoring and troubleshooting data systems and integrations
- Evaluating and integrating new data technologies and tools
- Data modeling, database administration, and data warehousing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 4-5 years experience in data engineering and architecture
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and database administration
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL, reporting and BI tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD and monitoring tools like Jenkins, Redgate, and Datadog
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Pluses:
- Fixed income, equity, trading, or risk management data experience
- Front-end web development skills (JavaScript, React, TypeScript)
- Cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
