The Securitized Products Analyst will be a member of the Securitized Products team, which manages over $18bn in assets, as an embedded analyst and will play a pivotal role in supporting Neuberger Berman's securitized products research and portfolio management. The candidate will be expected to work closely with members of the Securitized Products team to develop investment recommendations and assist in strategy implementation. The role will focus on supporting investment decision-making across a broad range of securitized products assets such as consumer loans, commercial receivables and residential and commercial mortgages. The candidate will work closely with senior Portfolio Managers, will be mentored by seasoned professionals and collaborate with many business units across the organization. This can lead to opportunities to grow within the team and the broader Neuberger Berman fixed income business.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and implement investment ideas across covered sectors in the securitized products universePerform fundamental quantitative and qualitative research to develop actionable investment recommendationsDevelop and maintain quantitative models for analyzing securities' prepayment, default and loss behaviorCultivate and maintain relationships with sell-side sector analysts, bankers, traders, issuer management teams and rating agenciesPerform timely relative value and technical analysisCollaborate with colleagues to analyze macro factors and broad market dynamics that have implications for investment strategyConduct surveillance and performance analysis on securitized credit instrumentsDevelop and incorporate alternative data sets into investment analyticsIntegrate work product into the firms' portfolio and risk management architecturePosition Requirements:

Demonstrated passion for and interest in financial markets and investments2+ years of relevant experienceBS degree in a quantitative related discipline including mathematics, financial economics, econometrics, physics or computer/data science. MS degree preferredStrong communication (written and verbal), analytical and quantitative skills required.Experience in presenting investment ideas and influencing portfolio outcomes is idealExcellent quantitative skills, specifically in financial mathematics, probability or statistics with a demonstrated ability to synthesize this information into actionable conclusionsPreference for individuals with proficient working knowledge in programming languages, including but not limited to Excel VBA, Python, large language models for data analysis and process automationAbility to manage multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment; work under pressure and independently evaluate investment ideas and take ownership of investment performance
