Polsinelli is seeking an Infrastructure Messaging Engineer.Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, this role can be hired as remote or hybrid, provided the candidate is in a state/jurisdiction wherein we practice.
Position Overview
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of our on-premises Exchange Server and Exchange Online environment.The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of email infrastructure and be proficient in utilizing PowerShell for automation tasks.In addition to Exchange, this role will also manage and configure other cloud-focused Microsoft applications within our M365 tenant, including Conditional Access and Intune App Protection policies, and have experience with cloud security and compliance policies (Microsoft Purview).
Technical and Skill Requirements:
Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skillsExcellent time management and organization skillsMotivated by curiosity, ingenuity, and a desire to learn and grow.At least 5 years of experience in Exchange administration, with emphasis Exchange Online migrations and supporting hybrid mail environments.Experience with Mimecast (or similar platform) configuration, support, and administration.Skilled in using PowerShell, Graph API, and other scripting languages to automate and manage Exchange and M365 tasks and workflows.Knowledgeable of M365 integration and migration tools and methods, such as Azure AD Connect, and Hybrid Exchange.Stand out candidates will also possess the following skillsets:Experienced with the usage of Microsoft Intune for MDM, MAM, and app protection policies.Experienced with Microsoft Purview (or similar platform) for cloud-based security, compliance, and DLP.Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory and M365 collaboration stack (Teams, OneDrive, etc.).CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Requirements
Drive the maintenance, design, development, support, and security of the Exchange Online, Exchange Server, and the M365 tenant.Advise IT leadership on technology improvements and overall direction for all areas under team purview.Provide 24 x 7 support for critical production systems.Manage and monitor the M365 tenant, including security, compliance, and reporting.Configure and enforce policies and settings for mobile devices and O365 applications using Intune and conditional access.Provide administration, technical support, and troubleshooting for Microsoft Exchange Online/Exchange Server in a hybrid environment.Configure and administer Conditional Access policies for M365 tenant security.Assist in the administration of MDM and MAM policies and enforce app protection policies using Intune.Implement and enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies using Microsoft Purview under the guidance and recommendations of the IT Security team.Assist in the management and monitoring of messaging security (DKIM, DMARC, SPF) and troubleshooting (message tracing and delivery analysis).Ensure that systems related documentation is maintained and kept up to date.Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.Assist in the creation of technical and business justification documentation to support IT direction and decisions.Manage ticketing escalations and associated SLAs for areas under team purview.Employees approved for flexible work arrangements are expected to be available and maintain a practice of reliable, consistent attendance during the employees scheduled work shift including, but not limited to, Teams/instant message, Zoom, email and voicemail, and by phone.Other duties as assigned.Immediate Position Goals:
Contribute significantly and immediately to the Exchange Online Migration project.Develop and execute a plan to migrate Public Folders to Exchange Online.Collaborate on Conditional Access policy creation and architecture.Collaborate on Identity Management automation and workflows.

The budgeted salary range for this position, based on experience and location, is $115,000- $145,000.
