Typically works under the direction of or in partnership with Sonographer II or attending cardiologist).Responsibilities:* Performs inpatient and outpatient diagnostic cardiac sonograms in accordance with the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines for digital image acquisition.* Responsible for performing and archiving calculations for reporting of all pediatric ultrasound imaging.* Performs complete studies on new patients per the ASE for congenital heart patients; downloads studies and provides calculations for reports per guidelines.* Assist in performing Transesophegeal Echocardiograms* Assist in Research studies when appropriate.* Must be Certified in Pediatric Echo by ARDMS or CCI within first year of employmentWORK EXPERIENCE* At least 1 year job related experience Preferred
EDUCATION* Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience
Required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS* Certified in 1 one of the following: Fetal, Adult, Vascular
Preferred* Certified in the following: Pediatric
Preferred* Must be Certified in Pediatric Echo by ARDMS or CCI within 24 months of employment (ARDMS is preferred over CCI)
Required* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements
