Are you a Certified Pharmacy Technician who is looking to join an outstanding team of Pharmacy professionals? If so, we would love to talk to you about our growing Pharmacy at Newton-Wellesley Hospital! We have immediate full-time, opportunities at Newton Wellesley Pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will support the mission of the Pharmacy department by ensuring that the right patient receives the right medications in a safe and timely manner under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. He/she will develop a full understanding of the drug distribution system and demonstrate competency in carrying out all duties associated with delivering medications to the patient care area's. The successful candidate will use an Omnicell automated dispensing system, Epic computer software, and prepares hazardous and non-hazardous IV admixtures. The ideal candidate will have the following key qualifications in order to be successful in this role: - High School diploma required - Must be exCPT or PCTB certified, or a registered pharmacy intern with the state of Massachusetts - Familiarity with medical/drug terminology and abbreviations. - Demonstrated ability to walk and stand 70% of the time and to lift up to 35 pounds. - Ability to appropriately handle controlled substances. - Must meet eligibility requirements for Massachusetts registration as a Pharmacy Technician. - All Technicians must become registered by the state of Massachusetts before 1000 hours of employment. - Excellent communication and computer skills.
