Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Lead Sonographer Specialty Tech to join the team. This roll will be a Full-Time Day Shift: 4 - 10-hour shifts 7am - 5:30pm. Demonstrates patient safety in the department through the use of side rails, braking mechanisms, and patient monitoring. Utilizes electronic medical records (EMR) to track patients according to department procedures.- Maintains the Glutaraldehyde solution and/or Hydrogen Peroxide solution to include daily solution and test strip testing – maintains all logs associated with this technique.- Demonstrates proper care and aseptic cleaning of all patient-related equipment by following established department policies. Demonstrates the ability to use proper cleaning techniques for high-level disinfection processes on all interactivity and TEE probes.- Demonstrates leadership and independent judgment necessary to support an effective work environment.Lead Sonographer Specialty Tech Requirements:- Work Schedule: 4 - 10-hour shifts 7am - 5:30pm- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.- License: American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), CCI or American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registered. Must have RVT/RVS/VS with specialty in Vascular or Neurosonology; or RDCS/RCS with a specialty in Adult Echo, Fetal Echo or Pediatric Echo; or RDMS/ARRT with at least two sonographer specialties (ie: OB/GYN, Breast, AB).- Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association- Experience: Three years of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in a hospital/healthcare environment.Inova Job ID #662077.
