Northampton Family Medicine Northampton Family Medicine is an award-winning family practice housed in Cooley Dickinson's multispecialty medical facility located at 22 Atwood Drive, Suite 201 in Northampton, MA. As a Family Medicine office, we offer comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, newborn through adult. Role Overview We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support the practice onsite, Monday through Friday 7:45am-4:15pm. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. The vision is for our Medical Assistants to work 1 to 1 with their assigned provider while having the ability to rotate occasionally. Responsibilities include: - Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office - Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed) - Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.) - Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas - Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • CMA, AAMA, RMA, CNMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification required • Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from a program approved by the American Heart Association required • Completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred • One (1) year technical/vocational training school program or one (1) to three (3) years experience as a medical assistant preferred
