Job Title: Workers' Compensation Defense AttorneyLocation: Rancho Cucamonga, CAJob Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney with 5 or more years of relevant experience to join our team in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and possess strong litigation skills to defend employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers' compensation claims. You will be responsible for managing a full caseload, developing case strategies, and representing clients at hearings, trials, and settlements.Key Responsibilities:Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in all stages of workers' compensation defense cases.Independently handle a caseload of complex workers compensation matters, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.Develop comprehensive defense strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients on workers' compensation laws, risk management, and claim resolution.Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and appeals.Attend and represent clients at hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations before Workers' Compensation Appeals Boards (WCAB).Engage in settlement negotiations, effectively managing and resolving claims while minimizing exposure for clients.Conduct thorough legal research and remain updated on changes in California workers compensation laws and regulations.Maintain clear communication with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel throughout the course of litigation.Collaborate with witnesses, experts, and insurance professionals to gather necessary evidence and testimony.Prepare and present cases effectively before judges and commissioners.Ensure timely and organized management of case files and adhere to all procedural requirements.Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in California.5+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense, with a strong understanding of California workers' compensation laws and regulations.Proven litigation experience, including hearings, depositions, and trials before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Strong negotiation and communication abilities, with a track record of favorable outcomes in settlement negotiations.Ability to work independently and manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced environment.High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.Strong client relationship management skills and ability to work collaboratively within a legal team.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
