About The Position: The Data Analyst has expertise in Structured Query Language (SQL), relational databases and warehouses, and basic medical data understanding. The Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in electronic data capture system design and testing, data cleaning and quality control, data transfers and merging of files, database queries, ad-hoc reports, and real-time dashboards. This position works cross-organizationally to ensure data quality, reporting real-time data for investigators and staff, and document standard operating procedures. The Data Analyst will interface with medical systems of record to orchestrate data movement between systems and data queries to support medical decision makers. PLEASE NOTE: MUST have an active Security Clearance and legally authorized to work in the US without future sponsorship, and be within commutable distance to Fort Liberty, NC. Salary: $56k- 65k/year. Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position Primary Responsibilities: Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and transform data from various databases and sources to ensure accurate and reliable insights. Design and develop complex SQL queries and scripts to perform data analysis, trend identification, and anomaly detection. Develop and maintain advanced queries, reports, and dashboards using data visualization tools to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models and analysis solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform and Azure Cloud. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Completes data requirements and plans for the full data life cycle from project conception to longer term data storage Responsible for the extraction, aggregation, and quality assurance of data from multiple studies, as needed, in support of project reporting, operational reporting and quantitative analyses of utilization. Conforms data design to public registries and federal repositories by using existing Common Data Elements and forms or defining new Unique Data Elements and forms to promote open collaborative science. Assists in the design of research protocols, including data collection plans, data management plans, and privacy and confidentiality plans. Develops internal Data Management Plans and Data Dictionaries; maintains SOP's and other documentation. Supports and trains data entry personnel when studies initiate, and as data entry forms are added or modified. Recommends operating methods to improve processing, distribution, data flow, collection and database editing procedures, to optimize data quality and automate data collection and management processes. Oversees quality assurance for all study databases, tests data to identify data integrity issues, makes recommendations, and plans solutions based on research goals. Provides ad-hoc reports as requested, maintains real-time dashboards. Completes other projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines is preferred. Experience in military-related data analysis and querying is preferred. At least 2-4 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, focusing on SQL data manipulation and analysis, is required. 1-4 years of clinical data management experience preferred. Intermediate and advanced skills with Microsoft Power Platform and Azure Cloud are preferred. Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate preferred. Capability to write analysis and automation scripts with Python or R preferred. Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, friendly and professional demeanor. Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner. Must complete CITI/HIPAA training. Must attain a Secret clearance.
