1st Shift Forklift Operator
What you'll do:
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Receive, check in and put away stock such as steel conduit, PVC conduit, Steel channel, cable and steel components "Safely, quickly and accurately
Notify Distribution Lead of any variances in paperwork
Pull Orders utilizing 8K,10K,12K lbs. High Capacity Sit Down Forklift
Load 10' to 20' bundles safely while maneuvering through warehouse
Load and configure Flatbeds with multiple stops ensuring weight is distributed evenly
Load and Unload PVC or Steel conduit Safely in Rainy weather conditions.
Perform Cycle Count as required
Operate different types of equipment dependent on job to be executed
Ensure tasks are performed according to standard operating procedures and regulations
Warehouse organization
Identify Safety Hazards in the workplace
Attend the daily GEMBA meeting with management and other distribution employees
Assist in meeting performance to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation goals
What you'll bring:
3 years experience driving a high capacity forklift in a distribution center or Pipe/Lumber yard using a forklift with6' or 7' forks.
Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
Good attendance and punctuality.
1 - 2 years of JDE or WMS experience preferred.
Detail oriented.
Within 3 months, you'll:
Complete all required training
Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role
Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations
