Under the direction of the section supervisor/manager, performs a wide variety of manual and automated laboratory procedures utilizing independent judgment and maintaining responsibility for assigned duties. Must be computer literate and have a basic understanding of computer interfaces. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows. - Able to communicate and write in English for the communication and documentation of work duties. - Clinical internship as part of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program or one year post degree experience within a CLIA laboratory performing high complexity testing required - Bachelor’s degree from a university or college in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Medical Technology (MT), or Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) or - Bachelor’s degree in related science with experience defined above. - Certification eligible: ASCP or equivalent (NCA, AMT, HEW) required - MT, CLS, MLS (ASCP) or equivalent (NCA, AMT, HEW) preferred
