THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience and hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred).Travelers could also float to the sister facility if needed.Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.Flexibility is a must.Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.Job Requirements

Every other weekend is typically required.Might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs.Self scheduling is allowed.3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule are required.Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday for nightshift, Saturday - Sunday for dayshift.May have 1 holiday off in an assignment.No additional call/standby shifts required.May be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs.Unit Specific Information
Medical ICU - Medical Cardiac + Overflow unit.36 Medical Cardiac unit + 12 bed overflow unit.Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:2, 1:1.Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.RNs required to titrate drips.Common titratable &/or set rate drips includ: Propofol, fentanyl, versed, etc.Charge Nurse does not take patients.No nurse aids on this unit, only for sitters and as Health Unit Secretary.Hospitalist or Intensivist in house 24/7.RT in ICU 24/7.No monitor techs on unit, RN required to interpret own strip.GE monitors.Self-scheduling is allowed. Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs.3 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule required.No additional call/standby shifts required.Float to tele with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed.Scrub Color/Dress Code is Navy.Unit/Department specific orientation 1-2 days.Additional Details
