Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities. The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a bill rate bump per hour.Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12.If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. Otherwise, the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract.Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist HospitalsStaffing Ratios: 1:5-6Unit Information: GI/Liver Medical patients, ERCP, CAPD, Pre-transplant, Chronic PancreatitisJob Requirements

Teaching facilities require all travel nurses to agree to precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them
