The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.Schedule Information
START DATE: 2/5 or 2/26, NO MARCHWeekend Requirement: 2 weekends per 4 weeksHolidays: Every other majorShifts: 7a, 7pUnit Specific Information
Unit: ICU# beds: 20Ratios: 1 to 2Charge Nurse: Each shift--do not take patients; they serve as a resource to entire houseNurse Aides: NoScrub Color: NavyTele: GE-nurses must read and interpret own stripsVents: RT in house ang managesFloating: Yes, to tele, med surg and will take 4 or 5 patients; travelers are first to floatFloor specific orientation: 2 shifts in ICU and 1 unit out on the floorCommon diagnosis / Types of patients: Sepsis, proficient in managing DKA hyperglycemia, PN, COPD, PCI cardiac services (not STEMI center yet), CVA, no neuro, ICU patients will recover from surgery in the ICU, versed, Propofol, norepinephrine, GI bleedsAdditional Notes: Must be comfortable w/ ABCDE bundle, ventsAdditional Details
If Clinical Recommends, prescreen notes and resume are sent to hospital for approval to offer, no 2nd interview*These staff may be deployed to ED to care for boarded ICU patients or will work in the ICUPLEASE MAKE SURE TRAVELER IS READY TO ACCEPT IF OFFERED, WE HAVE HAD A HIGH VOLUME OF BACKOUTS & DECLINED OFFERS - THANK YOU!PLEASE NOTE: ICU FLOATS TO MS TELE AND TELE FLOORSAdditional Questions: You will be floating out to the floors, are you comfortable with this? You will take a full patient load
