* BLS certification required* Adult ER certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required* Pediatric ER certifications: BLS, ALS, PALS and ENPC preferred or CPEN preferredJob Details
* ER LVN position available* The role requires handling all diagnoses from minor walk-ins to critically ill patients, including respiratory failure, asthma, abdominal pain, fractures, substance abuse, stroke alert facility, and STEMI receiving center* In the pediatric ER, the facility is a receiving center for pediatrics; in the adult ER, it is a STEMI, CVA, and burn receiving centerJob Requirements
* BLS certification required* Must have Cerner, IV Skills, travel experience, and acute care experience* Basic EKG interpretation test assigned during orientation* Critical care RNs will have additional tests such as those included in the STEMI curriculum and Procedural Sedation curriculum* Adult ER requires BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; pediatric ER prefers BLS, ALS, PALS and ENPC or CPEN* 2 years experience required* ICU nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2; pediatric patient ratio 1:4; adult patient ratio 1:4; procedural sedation 1:1Schedule Information
* Shifts available: 12 hrs, including 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 7p-7a* No block scheduling* Traveler needs to be flexible with the scheduling* 3 shifts on unit plus meeting with ER educator to ensure all education is completed* Every other weekend required* Working 2 out of every 3 holidays is requiredAdditional Details
* Navy blue scrubs for RNs, cranberry for LVNs* Adult ER has 28 beds (18 beds and 10 reclining chairs for moderate care); Pediatric ER has 5 beds and 5 reclining chairs* Ran out of the lobby areas* ER makes use of techs or CNAs and has LVNs that run the fast-track area* Phillips - they have a monitor tech* M.D.s and mid-level practitioners are available. Quick look and fast track are ran by mid-level practitioners; from 11a-11p the pediatric ER is staffed by a designated pediatric doctor* All Candidates must have some experience with Pediatrics and Adults (about 50% of their patient population is Pediatrics)
