Healthcare/Wellness Project Architect

Position Summary:
Responsible for creative and technical aspects of the delivery of healthcare/wellness projects including planning, development of designs, presentation materials, construction documents and construction administration services. This position requires a well-rounded understanding of the various aspects of the architectural field with specialization in the healthcare/wellness practice.Major Duties & Responsibilities:Works independently exercising discretion and independent judgment, and collaboratively with firm leadership to create complete, coordinated, and cohesive work products.Directs team members (internal and external) at all levels of project delivery.Successfully controls multiple, medium to large projects at various stages of work.Works with full project teams including fellow Project Architects, Designers, and lead Project Managers to staff projects with appropriate resources throughout life of contracted effort. This includes the following staff functions: Design/planning, document production, permitting, bidding, and construction observation support.Confers with the Lead Project Manager regarding the project’s overall scope, schedule, staffing, and financial performance.At appropriate schedule milestones, presents progress of work to client for review and approval.Directs activities of team members engaged in preparing studies, programs, reports, designs, visualizations, models, drawings, and specification documents.Directs activities of workers providing support during permitting, bidding, and construction observation phases of a contract.This position provides a pathway for career growth. Exceptional performance demonstrated leadership skills can lead to the opportunity to become a Healthcare/Wellness Project Manager.Minimum Qualifications and Characteristics:California licensed architect desired.5+ years’ of Project Architect experience in a Healthcare Construction Environment in California is required.Knowledge of design requirements, architecturally significant medical equipment, and industry practices specific to the Healthcare (HCAI) sector in California is required.In-depth knowledge of HCAI regulations, codes, and processes (OSHPD-1 & OSHPD-3).Knowledge of REVIT and BIM fundamentals highly desired.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or related field preferred, preferred to have first professional degree in Architecture.Experience in carrying projects from Design through Construction on medium to large projects.Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business and general community at large.Ability to use working knowledge of architectural design and all consultants work to maintain project efficiencies and meet deadlines.Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and maintain organization in a changing environment.Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, leadership, and team-building skills.Salary DOE: $90k-135kOur benefits package includes:Medical coverage, dental and vision optionsMatching 401(k) planAnnual performance bonusEEO Statement:
