At our core, we are a people-centric organization, driven by our purpose and our identity.Job DetailsThe Plant Controller role entails serving as a vital member of the plant leadership team, contributing to various aspects of plant management while providing financial and operational expertise within the specific business segment. Responsibilities include overseeing the month-end close process, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with controls, and leading manufacturing financial analyses. Additionally, the position involves assisting in trend analysis and monthly forecast submissions. This role presents an opportunity to collaborate with operational leaders across the plant, offering innovative ideas and solutions to drive success.Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the plant manager and leadership team to enhance plant profitability. Take ownership of financial reporting, planning, and support for the Frames facility. Standardize and share best practices in financial processes and internal controls with other plant controllers. Implement and enhance inventory processes and procedures, such as standard costing, cycle counting, and tracking.Core Activities: Produce monthly and quarterly financial forecasts for profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial performance reviews with the plant manager and team. Provide analysis on operational metrics affecting financials, such as overtime, attrition, and efficiency gains/losses. Lead annual physical inventory valuations and reconciliations across financial statements and systems. Lead the annual budgeting process, engaging plant and customer service leadership throughout. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of reported monthly, quarterly, and annual numbers. Manage accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with company policies for fixed asset management. Influence capital project planning and ROI analyses. Drive improvements in accounting procedures to enhance controls and operational efficiencies.Success Indicators: Demonstrated self-starting ability and eagerness to learn, delivering high-quality and accurate results. Collaboration with plant manager and key leaders on strategic initiatives. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a track record of developing innovative solutions. Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects to completion. Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Preference to candidates with a CPA or CMA and Public Accounting background 5-8 years of relevant Finance and/or Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as directed.Interested in hearing more?
