Certification Details Certs: ACLS, BLS Preferred Certs: NIHSS Job Details Unit can accommodate block scheduling. Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays 12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15 Float Requirement: required to float to like units. Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in 6 weeks but staffing needs may require more. Patient Population: COPD, PNA, Resp distress, Covid-19, FLU, PE’s. Patient population currently includes care for COVID-19 patients, including those who have tested positive. Scheduling Type: Unit can accommodate block scheduling. Unit orientation: 24 hours Scrubs: white or navy blue Target Ratios: 1:5-6 (Mixed acuity unit with PCU and MS/Tele patients with ratios of 1:6) 36-48 hrs can be offered. OT will be offered after 48 hrs has been reached. Job Requirements Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year required. Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPTS 1st time traveler. Skills: IV start, Vents, Telemetry and cpap/bipap, Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias. Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty Schedule Information 36-48 hrs can be offered. OT will be offered after 48 hrs has been reached. 12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15 RTO 7 DAYS MAX for Aya Auto Offer Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays Unit Specific Information Our acuity is on the higher end of a med-surg unit, but we do operate with a team lead present in a 3:1 that rounds the whole unit, 2 respiratory therapists that are rounding, and an assistant nurse manager on shift including weekends. We do take ventilators on our unit but they are for chronic trach/vent patients. Our model is that no nurse has more than one vent patient at a time. Our unit is 48 beds in total. Our CNA’s are a 9-10:1. Special Procedures: Chest tubes, Dopamine, Cardizem, Heparin, vents, trachs, bipaps/cpaps
