Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient population. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with the surgeon and anesthesiologist / anesthetist continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assist patient during procedures.

Qualifications
Experience: At least one to two years of nursing experience. Expertise in Operating Room and PACU preferred.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.: Maintains a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas. BLS/CPR required.
Special Skills, Knowledge: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional language and basic computer knowledge desirable. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. ACLS, PALS, TNCC required within six months of employment.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
