The Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSICU) is a 18 bed unit that provides care for patients who are recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, the placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures. Registered Nurses (RNs) receive patients directly from the operating room and manage their needs through their intensive care phase. It is a very fast paced unit driven through team work and collaboration within a highly competent multidisciplinary team to provide the best care possible to this specialized patient population. All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in our yearlong accredited Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.

- Associate degree from Accredited Nursing Program required. BSN/MSN matriculation required within 1 year of hire and completion of degree within 5 years of hire.
- Applicants with an Associate's degree JHH provides Tuition Reimbursement towards earning your BSN/MSN
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required
- No RN work experience required but must have 120 hours of ICU practicum experience from nursing school
