Childrens Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and evaluates and treats all pediatric sleep disorders in infants through young adults. Sleep disorders include, but are not limited to: Insomnia, Circadian Rhythm Disorders,  Hypersomnia, Restless Leg Syndrome and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The Sleep Center includes a Sleep Clinic with board certified sleep providers, an APRN, sleep psychologists and RNs. It also includes a 6-bed state of the art Sleep Lab to diagnosis and treat Sleep Disordered Breathing disorders and Hypersomnia disorders. The Sleep Lab staff includes 2 board certified sleep providers, the Sleep Lab Clinical/Technical Supervisor and 15 Sleep Technologists. Visit childrensMN.org

Position Summary

Evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment or consultative services to patients of all ages, presenting with conditions or disorders of sleep including sleep-related breathing disorders (such as obstructive sleep apnea), circadian rhythm disorders, insomnia, parasomnias, disorders of excessive sleepiness (e.g. narcolepsy), sleep-related movement disorders in ambulatory settings. This position requires one week of call every 3rd week in the Sleep Lab.

Required:

  •         Current Minnesota RN license
  •         Current MN APRN license
  •         Masters or higher degree in nursing with a focus in clinical specialization
  •         Nurse Practitioner certification required through Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  •         Current BLS

Preferred

  •  DNP 
  •         Previous Sleep Med experience strongly preferred or related experience in Gen Peds, Pulmonary, Neurology, Psychiatry, or Developmental Behavioral Peds
