DescriptionThe International Stores Finance (ISF) seeks a Financial Manager to support the continued expansion of our International Consumer business. While it’s always “Day 1” at Amazon, this is especially the case in the ISF, Headcount & OPEX team as we continue to grow our international business. This individual will responsible for working with dedicated marketplaces outside of North America, which include but are limited to the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Brazil, and are growing in footprint each year.To support this rapidly expanding business, we are looking for the “next generation” of great Finance talent to collaborate with multiple Regional Finance and Business teams and assorted Corporate HQ teams to increase financial understanding, improve current processes, deliver overall results, work hard, have fun, and make history.The successful candidate will be a self-starting contributor with effective finance and strong project management skills. This individual will manage complex projects and dive deep into the details when needed. This person will partner with finance and business leaders across several teams to provide strategic guidance, tactical direction, and decision support.Key job responsibilitiesManage short-term and long-term financial forecasting processes for the International Stores Finance organization. Develop mechanisms and reporting to increase visibility and create insights of regional outputs to International Stores Finance senior leadership.Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including ExcelDrive core financial processes for the International Consumer business including month end close, Annual Operating Plan, long range Strategic Plan and Monthly/Quarterly Business ReviewsComplete complex business modeling and analysis to identify operating improvements and deep dive on cost structuresDrive accountability of financial plans/forecasts and comfortably challenge assumptionsDrive standardization of planning/forecasting cycles across all International Stores regions as well as global program teamsPartner closely with multiple regional finance leaders and FP&A organizations across the International Stores business to establish robust forecasting models and variance analysis.Drive performance by reinforcing and enhancing metrics through analytics and financial modellingInfluence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternativesRecommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its profitabilityBasic Qualifications5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experienceBA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experiencePreferred QualificationsMBA, or CPAKnowledge of SQL/ETLExperience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results7+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience7+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experienceExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
