POSITION: Lunch Monitor, Tyger River Elementary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Desire to put forth best effort in all assigned duties.
Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the public.
REPORTS TO: Building Administrator
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for monitoring student behavior during lunch. Assists with the flow of cafeteria.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Conducts duties in an office/school/work environment with no significant exposure to environmental conditions. Physical demands are restricted to office work requiring lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds. Job requires the operation of standard office equipment.

- Manages students during lunch (behavior problems will be referred to the teacher or principal according to guidelines established by the individual school site).
- Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Circulates throughout the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served and/or eaten assisting students who need assistance.
- Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
- Dismisses classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled time.
- Encourages good table manners.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Follows all district and school policies, rules, and procedures.
