Job Description
AbbVie Operations is seeking a motivated self-starter to join the North Chicago Manufacturing Site Business Technology Solutions (BTS)/Information Technology Team, during an exciting time of multiple new product introductions and site growth. This team is a dynamic group of IT and Business specialists who work together to deliver manufacturing software and hardware solutions to the site, drive standardization, innovation, optimization, and identify requirements for future enhancements. Analyzes business processes; elicits, analyzes and documents business requirements; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing technology components. Translates business requirements into functional requirements; performs data and process modeling; manages change; and leads, coordinates/performs testing, verification, and validation of requirements. Provides Project Management for small to medium sized projects and initiatives. Provides support for initiatives at other small manufacturing sites, as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Elicits and communicates the organization’s business strategy; works directly with business unit clients to understand specific business processes, needs, and opportunities for improvement; identifies new or existing IT capabilities and information required to support the business processes and collaborates in the development of appropriate information management strategies, developing them as an integrated part of the business strategy.
Leads and Manages projects and initiatives. Champions Continuous Improvement (CI), Digitalization, and Automation; consistently seeks to add value to site operations.
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Regulatory Policies and procedures.
Analyzes business processes; elicits, analyzes, and documents business requirements; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing technology components.
Identifies process disconnects and translates them into improvement opportunities with cost savings or avoidance, productivity improvements, or revenue generating business benefits.
Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other organizations to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
Brokers services within the BTS community on behalf of customers; coordinates system solutions.
Allies with other BTS managers and functional areas to remain current on project status, and informs customer management of progress.
Identifies the impact of any relevant statutory, internal, or external regulations on the organization's use of information.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives of assignment. Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work, including technical, financial and quality aspects. Establishes organizational objectives and delegates assignments. Accountable for actions and decisions taken by self and subordinates.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in an IT Systems Analyst role, or equivalent, required. Minimum of 6 years with Master’s degree. Minimum 2 years with PhD.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have a proven track record of improving business operations/processes with technology
Must be a proven leader with the ability to consistently operate independently
Experience in a GxP Manufacturing quality environment preferred.
Data Analytics experience preferred
Project Management experience preferred
OSI PI integration and administration experience highly preferred
Microsoft PowerPlatform (PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate) experience preferred

This role requires 5% travel.
This position follows a hybrid scheduled requiring 3 days in-office per week.
The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
