We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to multi-disciplinary research projects for ground combat vehicles. This role involves leveraging your expertise in embedded systems development, computer vision, machine learning, autonomous navigation, and related fields to support the development and testing of optionally manned systems for DoD S&T communities.Key Responsibilities: Apply engineering skills in multi-disciplinary research projects for ground combat vehicles.Develop and integrate embedded systems, computer vision, machine learning, and autonomous navigation technologies.Support optionally manned systems development and testing for DoD S&T communities.Maintain direct customer contact and manage relationships effectively.Lead programs or sub-projects, interacting with clients to decompose complex platform requirements into structured engineering components.Develop vehicle system/subsystem architectures using various engineering processes and methodologies.Required Skills: Active Secret security clearanceBachelor of Science degree or higher in a related engineering or science discipline.Embedded Systems Development: Extensive experience in developing and integrating embedded systems. Minimum of 12 years of experienceModel Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Proficiency with SysML, DoDAF, and UPDM.Military Electronics Systems: Demonstrated experience with military electronics systems, including subsystem and system-level testing and integration.Leadership: Proven leadership experience in large projects or efforts.Data Bus Architectures: Knowledge of Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures, such as CAN Bus and Ethernet.Functional Decomposition and Capability Development: Ability to perform these methods to develop new architectures.Data Networks Integration: Experience in integrating and developing data networks across multiple layers of information security (Classified/Unclassified).Project Planning: Ability to develop and execute system-level project plans.Requirements Management Tools: Proficiency with tools like IBM Rational Doors.Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineering managers, system/software architects, software developers, program managers, end users, and military leadership.Desired Skills: Experience in process development and improvement management (CMMI).Knowledge of legacy military hardware and software systems.Familiarity with Time Sensitive Network (TSN).Candidates must hold an ACTIVE Secret or higher security clearance to be considered.If you are a military professional seeking impactful work in the civilian sector, consider exploring ICONMAs job opportunities and contributing your expertise to the continued success of Americas Defense Industry.
