EducationAssociate or bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field (preferred)
At least 18 months of specialized training in principles and techniques in computer technology
CompTIA A+ or Network+, ITIL Foundation, Certified Support Manager (CSM) certifications, etc. are a plusExperience:
5-8 years' experience in ITMinimum of 2 years of experience working in a help desk or IT support role, with specific experience in Microsoft (MS) Windows environmentPrevious experience with engineering software is preferred (Autodesk and Bentley products, LUSAS, SAP, Bluebeam, etc.)Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Working knowledge of MS Operating Systems (Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server 2019 and 2022)Strong working knowledge of Endpoint Central and ManageEngine ServiceDesk PlusProficiency with HP Laptops and DesktopsUnderstanding LAN, WAN networks, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VPNsFamiliarity with SentinelOne Endpoint SecurityWorking knowledge of MS Active Directly, MS Entra, MS Office 365, VMWare, Veeam Backup and Replication, DNS and DHCP
Strong working knowledge of DUO and Microsoft AuthenticatorAbility to install/configure applications on iOS and Android mobile deviceUnderstanding of IT security practices and data protection
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skillsStrong organization, time management and prioritization skillsGreat customer service and interpersonal skillsStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Willingness to work flexible schedules and travel occasionallyAbility to lift up to 50lbsOther duties as assignedRole Description:
Receives e-mails, Teams messages or ServiceDesk Plus notifications from users having problems using business application, hardware and software issues, networking, security or user account problemsAscertains the nature of problem, determine whether problem is caused by hardware, software, or other IT related reasonEscalates issues in accordance with defined proceduresAssists users through problem solving stepsUses technical databases to research problems, and talks with co-workers to research problem and find solutionAssists in coordination of changes, upgrades and new products, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environmentConfigures new end user hardware and peripherals, installs required software according to company standardsManages user and computer accounts in Active DirectoryProvides accurate and complete answers to general use and administrative environment questions in a timely mannerCommunicates accurate and useful status updatesManages and reports time spent on all work activitiesFollows quality standardsAble to work in a team environment
