The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting a team of four professionals, contributing to the efficient functioning of our NYC office.Responsibilities:Organize, maintain, and manage legal documents, including case files, pleadings, contracts, and correspondence. Ensure accurate and prompt filing of documents in NY, NJ, and Federal Courts.Assist in the preparation of legal documents, such as briefs, motions, and discovery requests. Coordinate document production and filings with both state and federal courts.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties as directed. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all interactions.Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, hearings, and court dates. Remind attorneys of upcoming deadlines and court appearances.Provide general administrative support, covering tasks like drafting correspondence, answering phones, and managing emails. Handle routine inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate parties.Oversee day-to-day office operations, including coordinating and ordering office supplies and equipment, and collaborate with headquarters to facilitate any necessary arrangements or orders.Manage calendars, appointments, and meetings for the attorneys.Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a legal environment.Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on legal studies or a related field.Proven proficiency in MS Word and Outlook, with the ability to quickly adapt to and master other applications.Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including a comprehensive understanding of document management systems, with a preference for experience with NetDocuments.Demonstrated action-oriented approach with a keen sense of judgment in a fast-paced, high-growth legal setting.Outstanding organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently meeting deadlines.Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills to maintain the highest level of accuracy.Polished and professional demeanor with the ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and concisely.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayApplication Question(s):Do you have at least two years of law office/legal environment experience?Do you have any NY, NJ, or Federal e-filing experience?Education:Bachelor's (Required)Ability to Commute:New York, NYWork Location: In person
