Director of Quality Assurance, RTE Meat Products / Multi-Site

Kinsa is recruiting for a: Director of Quality Assurance - Multi-Site, RTE Meat Category Location : Owensboro, KY Mission: Our client, a producer of premium RTE meat products, is looking for a Director of Quality Assurance - Multi-Site, RTE Meats to add to their team. Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below). Compensation/Benefits: Compensation: 120-130k with additional bonus opportunity Medical, Dental, Vision Paid Vacation/Holidays Retirement Benefits Relocation Assistance What you'll be responsible for: Carry out QC policies, procedures, and directives in the development of and compliance with company, customer, and government expectations while providing feedback and required follow up to ensure proper corrective action. Guide the plant's SQF certification program Perform customer audits and annual SQF audits Develop and maintain HACCP plan and train plant personnel on quality programs. Communicates to USDA regarding preoperational or operational inspections Develop and maintain quality control systems/programs such as Pest Control, Self-Inspection, Supplier Management, Safety, Microbial Testing and Defense. Conduct pre-shipment review, CCP's, validation studies, report on deficiencies for GMP's, HACCP and SSOP's Perform microbiological tests on finished products, environmental and direct food contact surfaces. Apply total quality mgmt. tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each dpt. Inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Investigate/responds to Customer complaints and re-write corrective actions for complaints. Competencies/Culture: Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field 5 Quality Assurance Sr. leadership experience in a food processing environment Experience in a multi-site environment Experience with HACCP, USDA, FDA processes and standards (certifications preferred) Experience developing and implementing SQF programs RTE Meat products desirable Knowledge of Quality Control processes Experience with internal and external auditing Referrals are our best source for the top talent our clients need so if you know of anyone with these skills in the food and beverage industry, please pass me their name and email/phone number, or share this job posting with them.
