Job Description Primary Purpose Work with business leaders across Mountaire to maintain and optimize the Data Warehouse, data model, data marts etc., to integrate data from various sources into a centralized system, to optimize data processing and storage solutions to improve the efficiency and speed of data retrieval and analysis, to ensure data systems compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements and to implement security measures. Administer the Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) tool. Major Duties & Responsibilities Data Warehouse Development: Develop schemas, star/snowflake models, and dimensional data models to optimize storage and retrieval of data. Collaborate with data architects to define the structure and design of Data Warehouses. Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL for database management, understanding of master data tools and data warehouses and Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) data visualization tools. Database Maintenance: Maintain databases within the Data Warehouse ensuring data integrity, security and performance, troubleshoot issues and optimize queries for faster data retrieval. Perform routine database maintenance tasks like backups, indexing, and partitioning. Data Gathering: Collect data from various sources including internal databases, publicly available data and third-party datasets. Documentation and Reporting: Document data warehouse architecture and data models. Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed and prepare reports on findings for Vice Presidents, Directors, Controllers, etc. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field. Minimum 2 years' protein industry experience preferred. Effective communication and computer skills. Strong math and spreadsheet skills: Office Excel, Power Point, Access, etc. Proficient in SQL, understanding of master data tools and data warehouses and Oracle Fusions Data Intelligence (FDI) data visualization tools. Knowledge of database structures, data warehousing solutions and how to integrate multiple data sources. Strong skills in diagnosing problems and proposing effective solutions based on data findings. Ability to identify discrepancies or errors in data and ensure data accuracy and consistency. Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently. Handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Must have the ability to combine IT experience and insights with analytical modeling skills to reach results that are both intuitive and technically sound.
