As a Business Intelligence Developer 1, you will be responsible for: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translating them into effective BI solutions. Leveraging your proficiency in SQL to design and build efficient data models using reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Incorta, and SAP Analytics Cloud. Designing and implementing ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into reporting tools. Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks through query optimization and efficient data loading techniques. Creating visually appealing and insightful dashboards, reports, and visualizations to facilitate data-driven decision-making with effective storytelling to Americas Operations team and Executive Leadership. Documenting data models, transformations, and processes for future reference. Able to identify automation opportunities and develop robotic process automation (RPA) flows using tools such as Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate. Support, develop, and conduct training to educate all teams within the region on the functionality of digital user interfaces Participate in the engagement of technical issues management to streamline the understanding of the required reporting Staying updated on industry trends and technologies to continuously improve metrics and reporting of Americas Operations and contribute to the overall team growth. What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence? The preferred candidate should have a minimum of an undergraduate or Masters degree in Information Technology / Management Information systems (MIS) Possess strong data modeling and analytical capabilities. Possess a drive for getting things done and a "whatever it takes" attitude. Exhibit forward thinking, high ownership, and diligent pursuit problem resolution. Ability to work cross functionally with multiple teams. Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work within a fast-changing dynamic team. > The hiring team values the following training and experience: Business Intelligence Development Skills: Ability to identify and work with preexisting KPIs to develop calculated measures and create reports. Proficiency in SQL for data modeling and querying; a deep understanding of SQL syntax and optimization. Data Modeling: The ability to design efficient and effective data models that cater to the needs of the business ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes: Experience in creating and supporting ETL processes to extract data and load it into reporting tools. Business Intelligence Proficiency: 1-3 years of demonstrated, hands-on BI experience, including building dashboards, reports, and data models within utilized reporting platforms. Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex projects. Able to understand IT systems used by Fluence including but not limited to Salesforce and SAP, and an ability to influence new business process enhancements Database and Data Warehousing: Understanding of Data Warehousing Concepts: Familiarity with concepts such as star schema, snowflake schema, and other techniques relevant to designing efficient business intelligence solutions. Data Visualization: Dashboard Creation: Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and insightful dashboards and reports using BI visualization tools. User Experience: Experience designing user-friendly interfaces that enable users to interact with data effectively. Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking: The BI Developer 1 should be adept at understanding complex business requirements and translating them into technical solutions Continuous Learning: The technology landscape, especially in BI, is always evolving.
