Our Client in NW Houston is seeking an experienced forklift driver with general warehouse experience!
Hours: 8am - 5pm OT as needed
Pay: $17.00; $18.00 upon hire
Description
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include the functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs one or more warehouse operational functions within the guidelines of the facility (pick, pack, wrap, load, ship and possibly deliver orders containing a variety of products to for/to our customers)Accurately performs product repackaging of orders dailyDemonstrates basic material handling/ packaging /warehouse equipment skillsLoad and unload product properly on DGI vehiclesDGI vehicle is clean and tidy by end of business dayTake inventory, document and invoice orders and product movementCount, compare, check, and inspect quantities of materials and product in support of the order fulfillment and distribution of company goods in the warehouseResponsible for coordinating with management to set up delivery scheduleOther duties as assignedReports to the Warehouse ManagerSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED required1+ years' experience preferred but not requiredDemonstrates effective written/oral communication skills and customer service skillsIndividual must be detail oriented and accurateAbility to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution metrics and standardsSolid math skillsMust be self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on total customer satisfactionBasic data entry using ERP systems; MS Office experience a plusMotivated and takes initiativeAbility to work well within a teamProficient in Microsoft office preferredPassionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork orientedStrong sense of urgency and accountabilitySalary Range: $17 during temp period, $18.00 upon conversionEMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY INCLUDES:
