Tax Manager

As a Tax Manager at Penumbra, you will play a critical role in the company's taxes worldwide. You will be responsible for preparing worldwide tax provisions, leading US federal, multi-state income tax and international tax compliance process. The Tax Manager will also assist with income tax audits, and support the fulfillment of annual transfer pricing requirements.
What You'll Work On
•Prepare quarterly and annual global income tax provision and related income tax disclosures in compliance with ASC 740; ASU 2016-09 computations and verify equity compensation reports.
•Prepare tax return-to-provision adjustments for both US and foreign entities.
•Prepare international workpaper for subpart F, GILTI, FDII, and BEAT.
•Gather and validate information for service provider to prepare federal and state corporate income/franchise tax returns, lead the US return review process. Prepare and process quarterly estimated tax and extension payments.
•Facilitate international income tax return compliance process with foreign service providers.
•Provide support for federal and state income tax audits; gather data, organize, and maintain tax audit files and reports.
•Partner with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Finance, Legal, Treasury at all levels within the company.
•Support the tax team for customer tax status set up for sales & use purposes in ERP system.
•Support the tax team in various domestic and international tax and ad hoc projects.
What You Contribute
•A Bachelor's degree in accounting (with Tax emphasis) or related field with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Masters' degree in Tax or CPA preferred
•7+ years of solid working experience in global tax provision and US corporate tax compliance is required
•Ability to demonstrate job ownership and to manage tax compliance process from start to finish
•Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment
•Experience in researching tax issues, including the ability to analyze the issues and to clearly communicate the conclusions both orally and in writing.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with team members at all levels of the organization
•Team oriented, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of projects.
•Relevant working knowledge of income tax in a professional service firm or large multinational corporate environment
Working Conditions
General office environment. May have business travel from 0% - 10%. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
Annual Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 / year
