Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Coverage Needed

• February 9, 2025 - April 6, 2025

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 7AM-4:30PM; Friday 7AM-1PM
• On-call duties required for 10 days per month, including weekends

Clinical Details

• The role involves postoperative care, inpatient and outpatient services, admitting and discharging patients, rounding on patients, and first assist in surgery
• The NP/PA will be working autonomously, with the supervising physician present during the assignment
• The average number of patients per day is 40, with a patient age demographic of adult/geriatric skin care
• Trauma Level 1

Requirements

• Board Certification (NCCPA) is required
• An active Ohio license is highly preferred, but providers in the process of obtaining their license will be considered
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• The candidate must be fellowship trained in Plastic Surgery
• Required Procedures: Incision and Drainage for wound care, Intraoperative experience for surgeries such as breast reductions, breast lifts, tummy tucks. Botox Injections, (migraine injections) steroid injections

Call

• The call schedule includes random days throughout the month, including weekends
• The call ratio is 1 in 3
• Will be on call with the physician to facilitate patient care
• Random days throughout month-includes weekends, 20 Days

Support Staff

• The supervising physician will be present during the assignment, but the NP/PA will need to be able to work alone while the physician is seeing patients and while on call
