Job Summary: Perform mechanical and visual inspections to determine the acceptability of PCBs at specified points in the manufacturing process with a primary focus on cross sections. The QC Inspector is responsible for performing all inspections/related tasks as assigned by the QC Supervisor/Manager according to their respective work instructions, IPC specifications, and customer specifications. Job Tasks: Handling and Preparation-verify traveler data/panel count, clean panels if necessary, and start up the Ionograph equipment. Mechanical aptitude and good vision for section preparation and reading.Inspection-inspect boards for part number/revision letter, repeat defects, UL marking/code, material type/thickness, line width/air gap, image quality, plating quality, missing/extra holes, hole sizes, hole wall quality, registration, tin strip, adhesion, solder, solder mask, legend, and mechanical specifications per the appropriate work instructions.Paperwork-read/fill out Process Travelers, Final Inspection logs, certificates, perform data entry, and learns how to generate First Article Reports.Process Equipment and Tools Include:•10x eye loupe•Exacto knife•60x tower scope•calculator•calipers•back light table•micrometer•Section grind•table equipment•IonographRequirementsRequirements:QC background in a manufacturing a plus.must be able to follow documented proceduresmust understand basic mathmust have a good eye for detailmust have good reading and writing abilitiesBasic computer skills.must be able to use hand tools; calipers, micrometermust be able to read and understand drawingsmust be able to package boards for shipmentMust be able to complete FA ReportsEducation/Orientation Requirements:Advanced Circuits OrientationSuccessfully compete the QC Certification Test and Audit.Training Period: 2 - 4 weeks.
