Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$135,700.00 - $223,900.00

As a Senior Architect supporting Claim, you will collaborate with Technology and Business leaders and apply your knowledge of modern technology to influence and innovate solutions that impact the business. In this role we will look to you to:

Lead the design of event-driven architectures that enable rapid response to business changes and opportunities, improving overall organizational agility and competitiveness.

Architect scalable event-driven systems that support business growth and expansion, ensuring the infrastructure can handle increasing volumes of transactions and user interactions without compromising performance.

Create event-driven solutions that enhance by enabling personalized, responsive, and seamless interactions across various touchpoints.

Implement event-driven workflows that streamline business processes, reduce operational bottlenecks, and improve efficiency, leading to cost savings and increased productivity.

What Will You Do?

Collaborate with Claim and technology leadership to develop architecture priorities and direction to enable business imperatives.Advocate for modern architecture principles and technology modernization.Drive continuous technology transformation to reduce technical debt.Partner with engineering to align skills with technology direction and execute proof of technologies.Analyze industry and technology trends to leverage advancements.Lead and define technology proof of concepts to validate architecture solutions.Engage in hands-on prototyping of new technology solutions.Define target state technology architecture and roadmaps.Align IT initiatives with the target state architecture.Communicate architectural direction and its alignment with enterprise strategy.Optimize talent strategy to ensure appropriate balance of resources.Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture.Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent with 6+ years of technology architecture experience.

Event-Driven Architecture:

Lead design and modeling of events and workflows for microservices.Develop robust event processing mechanisms.Ensure scalability and high performance of event-driven architecture.Integrate with event brokers and messaging systems (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS Kinesis).Implement monitoring and logging for event flows.Deep understanding of event-driven design patterns, including event sourcing, CQRS, and pub/sub models.Hands-on experience with event brokers and messaging systems.

Technical Skills:

Experience with large-scale technology platforms and cloud data technologies.Deep experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, and DevSecOps.Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong cloud architecture experience.Experience developing technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.Experience in technology modernization, including cloud-native migration and API strategy.Hands on experience within the last 3 years.Good understanding of security.Experience in agile operating models and insurance technology.

Ability to establish strategic technology direction and architecture vision in alignment with business goals.Proven ability to influence senior leadership and other stakeholders.Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Resilience and positive attitude in the face of challenges.Ability to present technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.Strong teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration, including developers, product managers and Circle/Value Stream leads.

What is a Must Have?

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.Six years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture within a line of business or enterprise area.
