Solution Architect Job Locations US-AL-HUNTSVILLE ID 2024-4212 Category Engineering & Science Position Type Regular Full-Time Opportunity PeopleTec is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Solution Architect to join our team, responsible for supporting the design and implementation of data mesh projects, cloud services, network administration, software deployment, and integration. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the architecture, design, and deployment of secure, scalable, and resilient solutions, while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and policies. Additionally, the Solution Architect will be responsible for developing and revising design and implementation policies, procedures, and SOPs, in compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls. The applicant must have hands-on experience with network administration, cloud-based solutions, cybersecurity tools, and process automation, while demonstrating expertise in configuration management and database systems. Key Responsibilities: Support the design, architecture, and implementation of data mesh solutions and cloud services projects. Manage network infrastructure, ensuring efficient administration, monitoring, and optimization of system performance. Deploy, integrate, and troubleshoot software solutions in both cloud and on-premises environments. Design and develop secure, scalable solutions that align with cybersecurity standards and policies. Create, update, and maintain design and implementation policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and RMF documentation. Implement and manage RMF security controls and ensure system compliance with DoD requirements. Utilize cybersecurity tools such as ACAS and STIG Viewer for vulnerability assessments, compliance checks, and system hardening. Automate and script processes to improve efficiency, security, and performance in various systems and environments. Ensure proper configuration management for all infrastructure, software, and database assets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery. Provide ongoing support for databases, including MySQL, Oracle, and other relational database systems. Work with AI/ML technologies that integrate into cloud solutions. . Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience in network administration, cloud services, and system integration. Knowledge of RMF (Risk Management Framework) security controls and DoD cybersecurity policies. Hands-on experience in configuration management, version control, and system compliance practices. Demonstrated experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cloud-based service deployments. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent, Secure Cloud Professional, etc. Experience in data mesh architecture and implementation. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Strong working knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and ability to design, maintain, and optimize database solutions. Experience with cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, STIG Viewer, and other vulnerability management solutions. Proficiency in scripting and automating processes (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.). Skills and Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a focus on security and compliance.
