Job Description General Summary Work closely with end users, source data owners and customers to provide support, education and development of the performance analytics applications. Accountable for overall system maintenance and functionality for assigned applications and reporting functions. Mentor and provide guidance to members of the data integrity and development teams. Work is performed under general direction. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. Ensure, improve and oversee the overall data quality and system utilization through auditing, evaluation and testing of system data and software. Ownership and development of routine and complex data audits, reporting and data availability, upgrades and data distribution for assigned applications and reports. Oversee system upgrades to ensure data integrity functionality. Participate in and provide guidance to user and data governance groups as assigned. Participate in strategic planning for improvements and management of assigned reports and applications. Investigate errors, troubleshoot and correct all interfaces, data loads and reporting. Develop strategies and new reporting opportunities associated with the data and/or software to improve the downstream analyses performed by the end users. Collaborate with external source data owners to develop and manage data feeds and interface as needed to develop and enhance reporting. Ensure end user awareness of and promote utilization of data tools. Establish, communicate and track deadlines and workflows required to complete development and availability of assigned data and reporting. Continuously evaluate opportunities for improvement based on new technology and trends in the industry. Develop training materials, technical guides, workshops, and deliver end user training to educate staff regarding applications. Serve as primary liaison between source systems owners and end users; interpret and implement data and reporting. Prepare ad hoc reports and conduct feasibility studies to determine the appropriate solutions for proposed requirements to ensure maximum utilization of available resources. Provide customer support to end users and manage and assist with prioritization of new data and support requests. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 7 years experience in systems design, analysis and programming in a technical and/or business environment required. 5 years experience in business intelligence reporting and development required 3 years experience mentoring staff on daily work activities, evaluating, training and motivating the performance of subordinate technical, professional and clerical support staff. 3 years experience planning, coordinating and successfully designing system interfaces and/or end user reporting. 3 years experience in data management and programming required. 3 years experience in applications management/system administration required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Advanced knowledge of various financial applications and their functionality. Advanced skill with Visual Basic or equivalent SQL programming language. Advanced skill using Power BI Dashboard or similar visualization platforms. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external data owners and developers to successfully develop reporting tools. Advanced skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely at all levels within the organization. Advanced analytical, conceptual thinking, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Advanced skill developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with all levels of leadership, staff, and external partners. Advanced skill managing multiple initiatives and meeting changing requirements and priorities to accomplish objectives. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Proven ability to train staff, work independently and as part of a team with limited supervision. Advanced verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
