The Highlights:
The Senior Analyst, Prospect Management (PM) plays a crucial role in driving the strategies needed to develop prospect pools, healthy gift officer portfolios, and strong solicitation pipelines. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building relationships and working cross-functionally to provide strategic, data-driven guidance to gift officers on how to approach prospects and manage their fundraising processes. This position is responsible for implementing systematic, centralized processes for prospect development using quantitative and qualitative analysis in collaboration with a team of researchers, data systems professionals and front line fundraisers to improve moves management, strategy development, and pipeline development.
What You'll Do:Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to understand areas of opportunity within pools, portfolios, and pipelines.Communicate analysis and findings to the team who will be able to act on the recommendations.
- Collaborate with prospect research and data systems to build out potential donor portfolios.
- Meet regularly with gift officers to ensure data quality and prospect movement within the giving cycle.
- Participate, with Advancement Services team, in on-boarding and training gift officers.Translate prospect management policy and business processes into actionable steps individual giving officers can leverage to improve the management of their portfolios.In collaboration with the Director of Prospect Management, develop, document, and deploy recommended improvements to PM processes to support the future adoption of a Salesforce-based CRM.Provide critical support in management, maintenance, and integrity of prospect data the Advance, the University's current alumni and friends CRM, and the future Salesforce-based CRM.Demonstrate skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, the internal workings of the University as well as the technology tools available to the Division of Advancement & External Relations, including Advance (AER's Constitution Relationship Management database), SQL, Microsoft Windows computer environment, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau; knowledge of Salesforce strongly preferredManage confidential information with discretion and tactTrain/coach colleagues on complex concepts and business practicesWillingness to work on site at least three days per weekWillingness and ability to travel to campus and/or non-campus locations for University businessWillingness and ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends as needed for project completion

Minimum education: bachelor's degree in related fieldMinimum experience: 5 years of work experience in a related job disciplinePreferred education: coursework in project management, business, finance, economics, analytics, library and information science, or non-profit managementPreferred experience: professional experience in business analysis, process design or operational consulting; experience in prospect development, research or management function in a fundraising/non-profit setting, higher education setting a plusExhibit effective communications skills and emotional intelligence, foster partnership and collaboration, and demonstrate high attention to detailDisplay a solid understanding of fund-raising concepts, including but not limited to: donor types and giving vehicles; major gift fundraising cycle; and the typical roles and responsibilities of different units within Advancement
