Description Impact is looking to add a Modern Workplace Engineer to our growing Technology Operations team. The role of the Modern Workplace Engineer centers on being an authority in secure, efficient productivity and teamwork processes, with an emphasis on digital modernization. In essence, the Engineer's job is to synergize individuals and their work by harnessing the power of the Microsoft Cloud, ensuring users can achieve optimal productivity from any device or location they choose. To be effective, the Modern Workplace Engineer must apply their adept technical engineering capabilities to rethink traditional business operations with a lens on user mobility and convenience. This includes collaborating with customer-facing units to evaluate client network setups, design and propose solutions for business issues using Microsoft 365, handle technical support inquiries, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Roadmap to consistently deliver top-tier consultancy services to a broad range of clients, both internal and external. The Modern Workplace Engineer position offers a complex and fulfilling experience, demanding a comprehensive set of technical abilities, coupled with business savvy and people skills. The job necessitates a diverse array of competencies that extend beyond the ones listed. At Impact, the primary goal for any role is to deliver outstanding customer service. Responsibilities - Provide consulting services and specialized guidance to customers and peers, concentrating on the digital reforming of business processes. Employ a cooperative method utilizing Microsoft 365's productivity cloud to harmonize personnel with the data that matters most to them. - Develop, deploy, and maintain Microsoft 365 workloads. - Provide estimates for Microsoft Teams Phone PSTN initiatives. - Manage and potentially take ownership of escalated technical support matters from peers across Impact. You will function as the pinnacle of technical support within the organization - Establish and upkeep standard baseline configurations for Microsoft 365 workloads to ensure consistency and uniformity throughout various customer environments. - Develop baseline configurations, deployment procedures, and recommended guidelines pertaining to the planning, execution, and maintenance of Microsoft 365 workloads. - Document work performed via the company-approved ticketing system. - Offer periodic support coverage for colleagues in other Technical Operations department roles. Things We Are Looking For - In-depth knowledge and proficiency in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and its services. - A minimum of two years' experience in administration, encompassing: o Experience with Microsoft Entra ID o Expertise in Microsoft Intune, with hands-on experience in deploying and configuring policies for Windows and mobile devices (Android/iOS) o Experience with Microsoft Teams o Experience with Microsoft Purview, to include: - Audit logging and Security monitoring - Identity and Access Management - Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance - 5 years of administrative experience with at least one of the following technologies: o Microsoft Exchange o SharePoint - The capacity to operate independently with minimal supervision, while also recognizing the appropriate times to seek assistance for optimal results. Valued Qualifications - Possess at least one of these Microsoft certifications, or have the capacity to obtain one within your first year of employment: o Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) o Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate (MS-700) - Experience in hybrid deployments of identity workload. Example: Entra ID Connect Exchange Exchange Online. - Expertise in rolling out Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) integrations for Microsoft Teams Phone, utilizing either Microsoft's native options or external Operator Connect services. - Proficiency in PowerShell and Power Automate with an emphasis on streamlining routine activities through scripting or creating Flows. - Familiarity with the management of SSL certificates. - Proficiency in implementing change management and fostering service adoption within active customer settings.
