This application development position resides within the Business Systems application team. The successful candidate will be working for one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. The Business Systems application team develops and supports many custom solutions for approximately 79,000 miles of natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, and carbon dioxide (CO2) pipelines and over 139 terminals for storing and handling various chemicals and other products. The candidate will be responsible for the following tasks: Responsible for support, maintenance and security of the Enterprise document management system and supporting software Manage the daily routine operations and maintenance of IT software system applications Monitor the health of systems and provide appropriate recommendations, implement or escalate as required, including the review of logs Responsible for system patching and upgrades for various vendor applications Communicate with end users and understand issues related to end user applications Maintain working knowledge of software applications used by various business departments Administer and maintain 3rd party software and in house developed applications Work with business units to implement document retention processes Lead smaller, short-term projects as required Position Requirements Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree required- IT or Accounting preferred Position Requirements: Excellent working knowledge of IBM FileNet or comparable enterprise document management system Experience supporting enterprise 3rd party systems and applications Experience troubleshooting various application technical problems Working knowledge of MS SQL technology and experience creating SQL queries Ability to communicate with the Business Users, Management, Software Vendors, Operations staff and other Third-Party team members. Ability to understand business processes and to use that understanding to improve/change those processes to benefit the various business departments. Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate systems requirements verbally and in writing. Excellent time management and organizational skills Bachelors degree in an IT related discipline or equivalent work experience Ability to provide routine on-call support Preferred Skills: Experience with supporting third party applications. Experience in Oil and Gas industry. Position may be filled at various levels depending on the job skills and experience of the successful candidate.
